Lasker Young Soloist Competition
Grace Church, 76 Eldredge Street, Newton Corner

The Lasker Young Soloist Competition was created by Henry and Gertrude Lasker to encourage and recognize talented young Newton musicians. The competition is open to students in grades K-12 and awards are given in elementary, middle school and high school categories. The winners are invited to perform with the orchestra at the Free Family Holiday Concert on December 10, 2005.

Enjoy some of the season's best music with winners of the Lasker Young Soloist Competition, the Newton All-City Chorus, Newton All-City Orchestra, and the NSO.

Petite Soirée d'Opéra

Enjoy the soaring voices of David Cushing and Timothy Fallon, two of the leads in the Newton Symphony Orchestra’s concert opera performance of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale. Delight in art and music, have a glass of wine and delicious hors d’oeuvres, all in support of the Newton Symphony Orchestra.

A donation of $45 per person is suggested in support of the NSO’s concert opera program. This event is being held at a private home so space is limited.
