Sixteen-year-old Jennifer Chang began her violin studies with Aideen Zeitlin, of Newton, at the age of seven. She was active in recitals and chamber music at the All Newton Music School, where she received the bronze and silver certificate awards. Currently she studies with Mary Lou Speaker Churchill at the New England Conservatory.
During the school year, Jennifer leads an active life in chamber music and orchestra. She is assistant concertmaster of the Milton Academy Orchestra, and a violinist in the NEC Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the Southeastern District Orchestra. In addition, Jennifer performs as a violist in a string quartet at NEC. During the summer, Jennifer has participated in the Greenwood Music Camp, Musicorda Music Festival, and Bay Chamber Concerts in Rockport, Maine.
Jennifer is a junior at Milton Academy. She lives in Newton with her father, Lynn Chang, her mother, Dr Lisa Wong, and her younger brother, Christopher, all of whom are also violinists.
